A new floor plan view is created but this time the dimensions are also created in the new view.
Duplicate items floor to floor revit.
In revit you can duplicate a view such as a floor plan or section but did you know there are three different types of duplicate views.
Once you have created a model you do not have to recreate the elements at different scales or copy them so that they can be used on more than one sheet.
To embed this screencast choose a size.
These are new dimensions created in the duplicated view.
Again let s use our level 0 floor plan view as the source view.
Use this technique create identical elements on multiple floors levels.
Annotation and detailing are not copied into the new view.
So what we need to do is duplicate level one floor plan.
There s level one and it s a right click and we want to duplicate the view with the detailing.
So what is the difference between these and when should they be used.
Well let me explain them to you.
So we go over to the project browser.
Look you can see the tab there level one copy one.
So that ll duplicate and there it is there.
Duplicate creates a copy of the view that only includes the building elements as shown below.
This is useful for a repeating floor plan or if you d like to copy elements from one level to another as a starting point for a floor plan.
The three types are as follows.
Then copy and paste the embed code into your own web page.
Instead you can duplicate the required views and modify them to suit your needs.
